Charlotte Corporate Member Scott Syfert was featured live on the August 28 "Charlotte Talks" show on Charlotte's NPR station WFAE 90.7.  Syfert, a May 20th Society co-founder, helped lead the efforts to create the Charlotte Liberty Walk, an interactive historical tour that stops at 15 of the most prominent local Revolutionary War era sites spanning from 1771-1781.  The sites are located throughout uptown Charlotte.  The segment discussing this initiative can be heard here.

Proponents of the Liberty Walk hope it helps to educate the community on Charlotte’s rich Revolutionary War history. Charlotte and the surrounding Carolina back country saw some of the most crucial action in the final chapters of the American Revolution – a fact that is largely unknown in today’s society.

Charlotte Talks, hosted by veteran broadcaster Mike Collins, has become this region's exclusive forum for the discussion of politics, growth, the arts, culture, social issues, literature, human interest, the environment and more.
