His focused work for private equity sponsors includes experience with platform acquisitions, dispositions, add-ons, and carve-outs. Jarel’s healthcare practices extends to private equity-based physician roll ups, strategic minority investments and complex hospital carveouts.

  • Represented a jointly owned oil company in its sale of a deep-water terminal to a Canadian publicly traded energy provider for $1.1 billion
  • Represented a private equity firm specializing in power and energy production in a $575M disposition of a 700 MW power plant to a consortium of municipalities and state agencies.
  • Represented a provider of specialty hydrocarbons and specialty waxes, in its $247 million sale to an affiliate of a private equity company
  • Represented a US publicly traded company in the acquisition of a privately-held biotechnology company addressing rare, orphan pulmonary and rheumatic diseases for which there are limited or no available treatments
  • Represented numerous private equity backed healthcare companies owning several physician practices in series of add-on acquisitions ranging from $5 million to $25 million
  • Represented various private equity funds in add-on acquisitions in multiple industries ranging from $10 million to $60 million
