Matt Hinson is a versatile litigator with extensive experience counseling clients through a variety of complex commercial litigation matters.

Matt’s practice focuses on complex litigation matters involving construction, commercial real estate, manufacturing, and contract disputes.  Through his practice, Matt has routinely appeared in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration proceedings.

Matt has extensive experience drafting filings for all phases of litigation, successfully arguing dispositive motions, conducting and defending depositions of corporate representatives, expert witnesses, and fact witnesses, and obtaining favorable resolutions for clients through mediation or otherwise.

As a former college athlete, Matt understands and appreciates the value of teamwork and often engages in cross-team collaboration in order to best serve his clients.

  • Successfully defended a national staffing agency against claims in excess of $9 million arising from a warehouse fire
  • Earned defense verdict as lead counsel in bench trial representing a national provider of online car auctions
  • Obtained dismissal of breach of contract and fraudulent/negligent misrepresentation claims related to a commercial lease dispute
  • Defended geotechnical engineering services provider in complex construction dispute and achieved favorable settlement
  • Defended EIFS/Stucco contractor in complex construction dispute and achieved favorable settlement
  • Defended residential development owner in action involving breach of contract and lien claims and achieved favorable resolution
  • Defended candle manufacturing company in breach of contract action involving the clawback of government grant funds and achieved favorable resolution
