Rachel Gibbs practices in the areas of estate planning, corporate and commercial real estate law.

Overview

Rachel joined the firm after receiving her J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law. While at South Carolina, Rachel was involved with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program and received the Arthur B. Custy Memorial Scholarship Award, given each year to the best student in taxation law. Rachel also served as a research assistant and student ambassador.

Since joining MVA, Rachel has co-represented a wide range of clients and advised individuals and businesses on corporate and estate planning matters, including entity formation, governance, mergers and acquisitions, trust administration and charitable planning for high net-worth individuals. Rachel also assisted the MVA Healthcare Team in advising hospitals and physicians on a wide variety of corporate and employment matters as well as negotiating and drafting lease extensions, amendments and terminations for a regional health care provider. Rachel works closely with the commercial real estate team to represent developers in connection with the purchase, development, rezoning, and leasing of retail and office complexes.
