Zachary Ainsztein focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, investment transactions, corporate governance, and other corporate matters. He works with domestic and international private equity sponsors, venture capital investors, and publicly listed and privately held companies.

Overview

Zachary has substantial experience representing strategic and financial buyers and sellers in evaluating, structuring and negotiating complex business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures, minority investments and carve-out divestitures. His experience spans a broad range of industries, such as cosmetic and powersports products, private aviation, healthcare, software, financial services, and information technology. Zachary also advises clients on a variety of general corporate matters, including corporate governance, the formation and structure of business entities, commercial contracts, and similar corporate and operational matters.

Zachary graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he served as a contributing editor of the North Carolina Journal of International Law and Commercial Regulation. While in law school, Zachary completed an externship at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in New York City, where he contributed to investigations. 

Prior to joining the firm, Zachary practiced in the New York City offices of Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP and Debevoise & Plimpton LLP.
