The General Assembly convened for the 2015 legislative session on January 14. Lawmakers returned to Raleigh on January 28 to begin the session in earnest. House Transportation Committee          

The Committee met on Tuesday, August 25, and approved one bill.  S 304, Administration of Logo Sign Program, seeks to clarify that logo signs may be placed on the right-of-way of fully and partially controlled-access highways and to provide that the Transportation Mobility and Safety Division of the Department of Transportation shall administer the logo sign program.

Senate Appropriations/Base Budget Committee

The Committee met on Thursday, August 27, to take up one bill.  H 18, Continuing Budget Authority, funds state government operations at the level in effect on June 30 through September 18, 2015.  The bill received a favorable report in Committee and was approved by the full Senate and House.
