MVA Financial Regulatory Advice & Response Members Ed O’Keefe and Neil Bloomfield, Financial Services Member Tom Pennington, and Investment Management Member Colby Jenkins served as guest lecturers in the Duke University Law School spring semester class co-taught by Alan Pope and Zach Smith. Their lecture, titled “Regulatory Oversight of Financial Products,” took place April 6. During this class, Ed, Neil, Tom and Colby discussed the role of various regulatory bodies in the supervision and regulation of commercial lenders and other providers of financial products. In addition, on March 9, MVA Financial Services Counsel Ed Ivey gave a guest lecture in the same class, focusing on derivatives.
