Moore & Van Allen (MVA) Member Sarah Byrne was featured in the Mecklenburg County Bar News article titled, “Financial Literacy as a Tool for Trafficking Survivor Recovery,” which was published in the March/April 2024 issue. The article discusses MVA’s efforts to support human trafficking victims beyond traditional legal services and the firm’s newly developed financial literacy online tool for survivors.

“The online financial literacy tool was established in July 2023 and is a portal that provides resources for financial wellness. Byrne explained that the tool provides multiple online learning modules (generally 5-10 minutes long) that are intended to help trafficking survivors realize financial empowerment through credit repair, building good credit through safe banking, and cultivating financial literacy to make good financial decisions.”
