Daniel Layfield serves as member for Moore & Van Allen's Financial Services group. 

Overview

Daniel represents financial sponsors and public and private companies in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity investments, leveraged acquisitions, stock and asset purchases, divestitures and joint ventures.

Prior to joining the firm, Daniel worked as a partner in the corporate groups at leading New York law firms.

  • General Atlantic in multiple transactions, including investments in Seismic Software, Chime Bank, AppsFlyer, Alclear and European Wax Center, and the sales of CLEAResult and EN Engineering 
  • Roark Capital in multiple transactions, including its PIPE investment in Cheesecake Factory and acquisitions of Dunkin’ Brands and Fitness Connection
  • Apollo Global Management in multiple transactions, including its acquisition of Shutterfly
  • Kohlberg & Co. in multiple transactions, including the acquisitions of Nelipack and Bemis
  • Blackstone Group in multiple transactions, including the acquisitions of SESAC and Travelport, and sale of AVINTIV
  • Sycamore Partners in its acquisition of Staples
