Amanda Carrano Franklin practices in the areas of business immigration and immigration related employer compliance. She works with large multinational corporations, mid-sized employers, and small business start-ups on the full range of employment-based nonimmigrant visas and permanent residence applications. 

Overview

Amanda has particular experience in managing global mobility programs for multinational clients to ensure appropriate levels of compliance, maximum efficiency, and robust service. Amanda additionally provides practical advice to employers on I-9 completion and retention, E-Verify, and H-1B and LCA compliance. 

In her pro bono practice, Amanda represents victims of human trafficking in securing T visas through the firm’s Human Trafficking Pro Bono Project. Amanda additionally provides pro bono counsel to pro se litigants in divorce and custody matters through the firm’s partnership with the Mecklenburg County Pro Se Litigant Project’s SelfServe Center. Outside of the firm, she works with the American Immigration Lawyers Association Military Assistance Program to provide pro bono representation to active military members seeking to secure family-based immigration solutions for their foreign-born dependents and extended family.
