Charlotte Real Estate Member Jeff Brown was quoted in the Charlotte Business Journal’s article, “Childress Klein proposes mixed-use development on massive Steele Creek Site.” Childress Klein has filed a rezoning petition for 250 acres of land off West Arrowood Road in the Steele Creek area to build a proposed mixture of development uses, including a distribution center.

Marquee Brands LLC announced December 5 that it has acquired the Dakine brand and all related intellectual property. In conjunction with the acquisition, Marquee Brands has entered into a long-term license agreement with JR286, which has acquired the operating assets of Dakine and will become Marquee Brands’ long-term operating partner for the brand.

Revolve Residential, a boutique development firm based in Charlotte, is seeking the MUDD-O, or mixed-use development-optional, rezoning for a roughly 2.6-acre site in NoDa. Along with Copper Builders, 505Design, ALB Architecture and LandDesign, Moore & Van Allen is representing Revolve in the rezoning process. MVA Real Estate Member Evan Bass is leading the project, with construction expected to begin in early 2019.

A 36th class Leadership Charlotte graduate, Bankruptcy Member Luis Lluberas has been selected to the board for Leadership Charlotte. Upon the request by Executive Director, Elizabeth McKee, Lluberas was selected to continue his service to the organization.
