    Moore & Van Allen PLLC is pleased to announce that Charlotte Member Thomas L. Mitchell has been named chairman of the firm’s Management Committee, effective January 1, 2018. Mitchell, a finance lawyer, succeeds Ernie Reigel, who has served as chairman for the past 15 years.

    Moore & Van Allen was honored by Feeding the Carolinas, an association of 10 food banks in North and South Carolina, on December 15 for forming the association and helping to develop a strategic plan.  At the opening ceremony the organization raised over $100,000 and received 10 tractor trailers full of food to benefit all 10 food banks in the Carolinas. Corporate Member Steve Hope led the pro bono project for the firm.

(Pimco). This innovative Artivest platform will allow investments of as little as $100G into Pimco alternative investment products that typically require a $5M minimum investment.

    Moore & Van Allen PLLC is pleased to announce that its client, 16-year-old Clarence (C.J.) Cummings, Jr., has earned a gold medal at the Youth World Weightlifting Championships, held in Bangkok. Cummings, a Beaufort, South Carolina native, broke his own Youth World Record in the Clean and Jerk setting it to 185kg and equaled the 322kg Youth World Record in the total.
