Overview
As an associate on the Investment Team, Nish’s practice focuses on finance-related transactions, specifically within the areas of private equity, mezzanine finance and venture capital. Nish’s practice also includes the representation of equity investors in connection with buy-out, co-investment and other mergers and acquisitions-related transactions.
Prior to joining the firm, Nish served as a law clerk for the Honorable Thompson M. Dietz of the United States Court of Federal Claims in Washington, DC. At the Court, he drafted judicial opinions on topics including federal takings, bid protests, government contracts, and military pay law.
After graduating law school, Nish worked as the Microsoft Research Fellow at The Cordell Institute for Policy in Medicine & Law in St. Louis, Missouri. During his time at the Institute, Nish drafted testimony before the United States Senate on AI regulation, assisted Congressional offices in drafting privacy legislation, and provided comment on proposed executive rulemaking relating to child privacy protection.
Nish earned his B.S. in Systems Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis in 2020. He earned his J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law in 2023, where he served as an Executive Articles Editor for the Washington University Journal of Law & Policy, and a research assistant for the former Governor of Missouri, Jay Nixon. Nish is CIPP/US certified.
